According to the post shared by Kabogo, Ruth Wangari, 23, has been trying to join both the military and the police for the last four years but her efforts have not yielded any fruits.

Kabogo in the post wonders when merit will start to work in Kenya as opposed to a job seeker having to know someone in order to get hired.

However, many social media users who have reacted to the post have told off the former governor accusing him of pretending not to know how things 'work in this country'.

Others have also accused him and his administration of skewed appointments and hiring while he served as the Kiambu governor.

Some users have, however, applauded the governor for bringing the matter to the limelight while appealing to him to help the lady.

Here are the reactions to Kabogo's Sunday post.
