It is now crystal clear that all is not well in the National Super Alliance (Nasa) coalition.
All signs indicate that the coalition's co-principals are headed for different political paths ahead of 2022, a thing that could make Raila Odinga a lone ranger in the next electioneering period.
It is now a fact that two of the the co-principals, Moses Wetangula and Moses Wetangula have already ditched Raila ahead of time, with each charting individual lane to follow.
Already, the Amani National Congress (ANC) chief Musalia Mudavadi has his declared stand, vowing that he will never support Odinga's future presidential bids.
In justifying his move, Mudavadi alleges that he has supported him twice in futility. Back in his Western backyard, Musalia is recruiting followers, with the latest being the embattled former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa.
For Moses Wetangula, the story is no different. He is, too, on record declaring intent to vie for the country's top seat using his Ford Kenya party ticket.
If Raila still harbours the big dream of succeeding Uhuru in 2022, then his only hope largely lies on Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, who has not gone public on his next political move.
If by any chance Kalonzo ditches Nasa, then Raila will have to battle it out alone in his ODM party.
