It is nothing but anxiety as the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results near release anytime from this week.
From last year's results, girls' schools performed excellently as compared to their counterparts in boys' schools. In light of this, here are two schools in the North Rift to watch this year;
Moi Girls' Secondary School - Eldoret
This is one of the best girls' school in Uasin Gishu county which prides in producing some of the best candidates in the country each year. For instance, it managed to produce two students in the first top ten in 2017 KCSE results.
Their top student posted mean grades of A (Plain) thus appearing position two and nine nationally. For the 2018 results, it is a game of wait-and-see if they will post more quality grades.
Sing'ore Girls' secondary school
The school in the neighbouring Elgeyo Marakwet county that shocked the nation in the 2017 KCSE results, becoming the top school nationally. It is a school that emerged from the blue to beat other academic giants like Alliance Boys', Alliance Girls', Moi girls' secondary school Eldoret among other national schools.
Sing'ore Girls' used to be extra-county until recently when it was elevated to the status of a National school. With an entry of 271 KCSE candidates in 2017, the school posted 15 A (minus) 165 B+ (plus), 83 B (plain) and 8 B- (minus) to appear at the top position.
