A witness said the trouble started when Michael Mogesa busted Johannes Nyananga with the prostitute having a cup of tea at a local hotel.

“Mogesa came to the hotel where he had directed the prostitute, Faith Moraa, and found Nyananga sitting with her in a compromising situation.

Mogesa immediately descended on Nyananga with kicks and blows as other customers fled for their dear lives,” said the hotel owner, Elizabeth Ondoro.

Mrs Ondoro said she raised alarm to attract drivers who were at the bus stop.

“Were it not for the drivers, Mogesa could have killed Nyananga. Despite the two working together as touts, it seems there is personal hatred between them,” she noted.

Stephen Maonda, a driver said Nyananga left him at the bus stage to pick up the lady from the hotel.

“Nyananga is my conductor and we were making the final trip to Kisii town before we could retire to bed. He left me at the bus stage and went to pick up the lady. It is shocking that he went to pick someone’s prostitute,” he said.

Area Nyumba Kumi official Richard Manoti said Nyananga sustained head injuries following the scuffle while Mogesa was bleeding from his nose when the drivers intervened.

He said the touts will appear before the stage officials today, Friday for disciplinary actions.
