The court has now issued a warrant of arrest against the son, Ezekiel Kibor.

Ezekiel who is among the three sons of Mzee Kibor was to appear in court on Tuesday in relation to a case in which his father has sued him alongside his two brothers for allegedly trespassing on his 2,000-acre farm in Kabenes.

Eldoret Chief Magistrate Charles Obulutsa ordered for the immediate arrest of Ezekiel, the third born son from the veteran politician’s third wife Naomi Cheptoo whom he has also filed for divorce at Eldoret law court.

The court directed Eldoret Police station OCS to effect the arrest.

Kibor, 84, who appeared before the court on Tuesday during the hearing of the case told the court how his three sons, armed with machetes and clubs invaded his land.

The incident is alleged to have happened on December 27, 2017.

“They threatened my workers with death should they attempt to block them from carrying out their mission on the farm prompting the employees to alert me about the incident. This is when I decided to drive quickly to the farm in my four-wheel pickup vehicle mounted with sharp metallic spikes in a bid to scare them away for disturbing my peace,” Kibor narrated.

The prominent farmer who is not new to controversies insisted that his sons were invaders as he has never given them the authority to cultivate his farm.

He vowed to deal with them should the trespass on his property again.

“I am still the owner of the farm in Kebenes area and at no time have I allocated part of it to my sons as they claim in their police statements,” insisted Kibor.

Hearing for the case will continue on February 7, 2019.
