Two people lost died on spot after a motorbike and a personal car were involved in a fatal road accident.
The deadly accident happened at Daraja Moja area within Kisii town, Kisii County.
Witnesses said the boda boda rider ferrying a customer was speeding when he collided head on with an oncoming car.
"The rider was at a highest speed when the accident happened. The car driver tried to escape from hitting the motorbike in vain," said Edgar Ochoi.
Ochoi said the boda boda rider who is now dead jumped from the motorbike abandoning the customer.
"The rider and his customer died on spot while the car driver sustained injuries," he noted.
Kisii police commander Martin Kibet said the bodies were moved to Kisii Teaching and referral hospital morgue.
He warned motorists against over speeding more especially boda boda riders.
"Motorists should be careful when using the roads. We don't want to continue witnessing unnecessary accidents making people to lose their lives," said Kibet.
Kibet also said riders who have not met the road requirements should keep off the roads until they get the necessary operational documents.
