Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has issued a stern warning to cartels whom he claims are devising tricks to block the ongoing demolitions on riprian land.
Sonko says that he will not fall into their traps which he alleges to be bribery to intimidate him and stop the demolitions.
The Nairobi governor claims that he has been receiving calls with promises of big money from some people with the demand that he stops the demolitions.
Sonko now says that he will make public the phone calls, messages and all communication from cartels.
"I am going to make public all phone calls that I have been receiving from cartels and tell them they will not stop us from reclaiming riparian land," he said in a statement to the media on Tuesday.
