A Jubilee MP in Kisii County has clashed with Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati over Gusii Community leadership.
Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong'i said Arati is chasing fame by imposing himself as the Gusii community spokesman.
"Arati should remain in Nairobi where he is elected t serve the electorates.
"Let him not chase fame by imposing himself to be the Gusii community spokesman," he said.
The lawmaker accused a section of elders for accepting favours from the ODM MP to support him as the community's spokesman.
He further said Arati will not win any elective post in Kisii or Nyamira County.
"Arati will never win any seat in Kisii or Nyamira County. He should therefore, stop causing trouble in the community politics.
"Let him seek to be named the spokesman for the people residing in Nairobi county," he stated.
According to Tong'i, elected leaders from Gusii region should work closely and speak in one voice for the sake of serving the electorates.
He called on the Gusii community to ignore Arati.
The MP was speaking on Monday at Rioreti area in his constituency.
