Controversial Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has extended his generosity to Gor Mahia fans after he pledged to pump in Sh2 million for them to cater for their travel expenses to Dar es Salaam for this weekend’s continental fixture.
Kuria's donation announcement was made public by the club's organizing secretary Judith Nyangi.
The Kenyan champions are set to face Tanzania's Yanga FC in a return match on Sunday for the Caf confederation cup.
Last weekend, Gor Mahia beat their close rivals AFC Leopards 2-1 in the famous Mashemeji Derby that was attended by Moses Kuria and Gor patron Raila Odinga. The controversial legislator was seen wearing Gor Mahia jersey while sitting next to Raila Odinga.
The fans who will benefit from the donation are expected to depart Nairobi on Saturday morning and return on Monday. This will be in line with Tanzanian laws that prohibit public service vehicle from travelling at night.
