Marube has now called for the immediate resignation of Mr Rotich.

"Mr Rotich's integrity is now questionable. Kenyans won't continue losing money through dubious dealings. Rotich should step aside and investigations be done while he is out of office," he said.

The vocal youth leader appealed to President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack Rotich if he can't resign.

"We don't want see Cabinet Secretaries to continue overseeing corruption in their ministries. Cs Rotich must resign and stop wasting time recording statements at the DCI yet is he unclean," he stated.

Mr Marube said people of questionable integrity should not be condoned to continue serving in government.

"The government of Kenya under the leadership of Mr Uhuru Kenyatta should ensure officers engaging in corruption are apprehended, arraigned in court and sent to jail because that is where they belong," said Marube.

While commenting on graft in Nyamira county Marube stated that it is embarrassing that 6 years since devolution started Nyamira is still grappling with poverty, low literacy levels and high corruption cases that county employees have turned offices to be extortion dens.
