A politician allied to ODM party based in Gusii region has reacted after President Uhuru Kenyatta talked tough on graft.
Samuel Omwando, a former MP hopeful on an ODM party ticket in Kitutu Chache South in Kisii County challenged Mr Uhuru to act but, not giving cheap threats.
"Uhuru should is only good in issuing threats to people stealing public funds but, poor in acting. Let him be at the front line championing for the prosecution of public funds thieves," he stated.
The vocal politician said Uhuru's empty words of mouth won't end corruption in this country.
"Corruption won't end if the Head of State will not be serious. Uhuru should order DCI and EACC to probe his Deputy William Ruto who is being mentioned in corruption scandals," he stated.
He stated that the latest dams construction scandal where Ruto claimed that money has not been lost should not be taken lightly.
"Ruto is focused using all means to divert public funds to fund his campaigns in 2022. Uhuru should not spare him because he will desert this country," he added.
