ODM leader Raila Odinga will return to Gusii on Saturday hours after visiting Nyamira after a major win in by-election at Bassi Chache ward.
In a closely contested race that also involved Jubilee, ODM's Japheth Omari scooped 2,303 votes to 1,584 garnered by Fred Nyachoti.
The ODM party celebrated the results on official Twitter account in an election that also saw the party win in Kadem ward.
"Thank you the people of Bobasi Chache Ward in Bobasi Constituency for showing us the confidence in today's by-election.
"Our candidate Japheth Omari has garnered 2303 defeating a host of other candidates including Nyachoti Fred of Jubilee who got 1584. Congratulations Japheth," read the tweet.
At Nyamira, Raila insisted the region remains his stronghold after sharing podium with DP William Ruto on Friday.
On Saturday, Raila will be in Kisii where he will attend KICOSCA games closing ceremony before jetting to Emurua Dikir for MP Johanna Ng'eno's wedding.
