Nakuru is among the major towns in the country. It is the fourth after Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu.

Being in the town at night serves you a moment to experience what it is to be in a Sin City or Nax Vegas as its lovers christen it.

Here are some of the weird things that happen at night in Nakuru.

1. Prostitution

Flesh peddling has become a 24-hour business in the lakeside town but gets better under the cover of darkness.

Though some of the twilight girls open their businesses (no pun intended) during the day, many are those who flood the dark alleys at night. Skimpily dressed to lure men into the pleasure world!

This also serves right those who prefer quickies at night after closing down on work.

2. Verandahs turn into bedrooms

Though some corridors and verandahs of most of the avenues and streets of the town appear very busy at daytime, the situation becomes the opposite when darkness falls.

Therefore, a walk in the middle of the town at the middle of the night will take you through silent streets full of sleeping ragamuffins, the homeless and psychos.

Most hide their beddings at daytime and bring them out at night.

Each group has their specific sleeping places across the town.

3. The town turns into a village

Though the town might seem very busy during daytime, it turns completely silent after the fall of darkness.

This leaves the town deserted, except for tea sellers, prostitutes and bodaboda operators who are always on duty.
