Baringo Senator Gideon Moi was forced to make an impromptu stopover few kilometres from Homa Bay town by enthusiastic locals who noticed his presence.
Earlier, Senator Moi had visited area Women Representative Gladys Wanga where they had lunch before proceeding to Homa Bay town.
"I am excited to see you here. It's my second day visit in Homa Bay and am thrilled by the hospitality. I am humbled.
"I will continue moving around with other leaders as we empower our people. For now, I am happy to see you," said an excited Moi, as the sizeable crowd chanted 'Moi Tosha' slogans.
Mr. Moi, who spent the better part of Saturday in the South Nyanza County, is currently presiding over a fund drive in side of Abeda Women Group at Homa Bay Tourist Hotel.
The soft spoken legislator is accompanied by Wanga and Mathare MP Antony Oluoch.
On Saturday, he said that he 'has no problem working with Raila Odinga because he's a statesman who never keeps grudges'.
