Saturday's tragic news about the death of Mr. Joseph Mochere, a popular presenter at Royal Media's Egesa FM, rekindled sad memories of a similar incident.
Head of Radio, Nancy Omweri confirmed Mochere's demise on her Facebook page, hours after the rumour about unprecedented death emerged.
"It is now confirmed Okebiro O'Mose is dead," she wrote in reference to Mr. Mochere's popular stage name.
His death could have emnated from a possible domestic duel with his wife, Teresa Moraa, who had given a hint on her Facebook hours to Saturday morning tragic news.
"Mtu akisema anajiua na aue watoto utafanyaje advice," she posted the message of distress.
But the latest set back at Kilimani based station is the second to be linked to suicide, years after another presenter, Gekara Mayaka allegedly threw himself from a storey building.
Mr. Mayaka died instantly in what conspiracy theorists link to love triangle with a fellow presenter, who has since joined politics.
Leaders from across Nyamira led by County MP Jerusha Momanyi have since sent condolences to the family of the deceased.
Besides featuring in a morning show, Mr. Mochere, who hails from West Mugirango, was a undisputed comedian of his age.
