Deputy President William Ruto has been asked to give deaf ears to selfish politicians dragging his name into corruption scandals.
Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi, while speaking at Gusii Stadium where DP Ruto presided over a fund drive to help in the construction of offices for the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) South Kenya Conference, said some politicians are jealous because of DP Ruto massive support.
"Some individuals are just jealous because of your good record. Please consider ignoring them and work towards the realization of the Big 4 Agenda," he said.
Mr Maangi slammed a section of politicians allied to opposition for continuously mentioning DP Ruto's name anytime a corruption scandal comes up.
"I don't see the reason why some desperate individuals can continue dragging DP Ruto's name around into corruption scandals. We have investigative agencies who should be given humble time to investigate, arrest and prosecute corrupt individuals," he added.
The DG insisted that DP Ruto's presidential ambition should not make politicians throw insults to one another.
"Kenyans will make a decision through the ballot on who should become the president in 2022," he stated.
