Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka is eyeing to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2022 general election.
Kalonzo says that it is time for him to ascend to power as he has everything it takes to succeed President Kenyatta.
In his plan to be president in 2022, Kalonzo has hinted at working with other like-minded politicians.
The former Vice-President argues that Kenyans need the right leadership to tackle challenges majorly corruption, impunity and tribalism.
With the 2022 general election clock ticking fast, Kalonzo is likely to approach top politicians across the divide for partnership.
Last Sunday, the former VP hosted former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth for a church service at AIC Kanisa in Mlolongo, Machakos County.
During the service, Kalonzo and Kenneth castigated corrupt leaders asking Kenyans to rally behind President Kenyatta as he battles graft.
However, the former Gatanga MP's presence during the church service has sparked a debate that he could be eyeing to work with Kalonzo in 2022.
Kenneth unsuccessfully contested the Nairobi governor's seat in 2017 and is among Mt Kenya politicians being touted to succeed President Kenyatta as the region's political kingpin.
When reached for comment on whether he plans to work with Kalonzo in 2022, Kenneth said that everything in politics is possible.
He said that Kenya needs focused leaders to push the county’s agenda forward.
Kalonzo's chances of the presidency in 2022 are high if he strikes a deal with Kenneth.
With Mt Kenya’s tyranny of votes in his pocket courtesy of Kenneth support, the Wiper leader can easily reach other regions and ascend to power in 2022.
It is a matter of time for us to know whether Kalonzo and Kenneth will strike a political partnership in 2022.
