During the release of the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Primary Examinations (KCPE) Education CS Amina Mohammed assured candidates who registered low marks that they will successfully transit to form one come 2019.
The statement delivered a ray of hope to some of the schools that scored lowly in the just released exams.
This now means that these five schools that appeared at the bottom in Garissa county still have a reason to smile despite their not-so-good scores.
21. Alfatah
This school featured at the very bottom position with a candidate enrollment of 36 pupils.
Alfatah registered a mean mark of 157
20. Mansabubu
Featuring the second last position countywide, the school registered a mean of 161marks after fronting 27 candidates who successfully sat for the 2018 national exams.
19. Unity Private Academy
The school scored recorded a mean mark of 162 after fronting a high of 167 candidates in the 2018 KCPE exams.
18. Sangailu Primary
Sangailu recorded a mean core of 163 with a candidate enrollment of 67 pupils.
17. Central Dagahaley
Closing the bottom five, the school had a candidate enrollment of 195 pupils.
Despite the huge population, the school managed to score a mean of 163.
