Khalwale who has been   recently criticising the ODM leadership over what he terms 'betrayal' especially after the removal of Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula from his Senate Minority Leader post said the Luhya community does not owe the ODM leadership anything and the community that is dominant in Western Kenya is determined to forge an alliance with other leaders ahead of 2022.

"The Luhya community does not owe you anything," Khalwale who was speaking at Kabras South in Malava constituency said on Saturday.

"Give us a break. We are doing our politics. Our marriage with Raila ended."

Khalwale is the Ford Kenya Deputy party leader and Wetangula who was booted from his Senate prestigious position is his boss.

He said Raila has for long 'used' members of the Luhya community to make political mileage promising that 2022 will mark a different year in the politics of Luhya land.

Wetangula has already declared that Ford Kenya is no longer part of the opposition National Super Alliance which constituted ODM, Ford Kenya, Amani National Congress and Wiper Party.

ODM MPs on Tuesday told Khalwale to disband NASA if he has the capacity.
