Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has come out clear on his 2022 presidential aspirations.
Through his official Twitter account, the KANU chairman said that he had not declared an interest in vying for the top seat slamming media outlets for giving out wrong information.
"I did not at any given time during the functions over the weekend say that I will vie for the presidency in 2022. Which brings to question the source of the information that mainstream and social media have put out today regarding my intents," said Moi in a tweet dated July 16.
His latest move has caused mixed reactions to some of the Eldoret residents given that he is a close competitor of Deputy President William Ruto.
Here are some of their reactions;
Victor Samoe - "But you said 'Kutangulia sio kufika' in reference to DP Ruto's 2022 Overtures. What is your game plan?? If you are not interested with 2022 politics, why are you concerned with William Ruto's activities?."
Philaris Chebii - "There is no shame in making your intentions known, just make it clear if you intend to or you will wait for 2027."
Kibor David - "They should not speculate. Whether you say it now or a day to elections my vote belongs to you. Ruto Kando."
Samuel Rotich - "So that makes Ruto the only candidate from rift valley."
John Kilimo - "H.E William Ruto is our marked 5th President of the Republic of Kenya so kaa nyuma yake akufunze siasa ama ujaribu kusimama tukufunze adabu."
Kipkemoi Rutto - "Why scared, Ruto needs someone who will make him not sleep."
Ruttoh Erastus - "Whether you declare or not Moi's MoU with Kenyatta's is a public knowledge ya cheza mbio ya relay. Son to Son but time hii hustlers will take the day."
Kiberut Tangus - "With all due RESPECT 'irregardless' of the year, you are going to sit on that throne God willing. And my vote is already yours."
