A section of fierce critics of Governor John Nyagarama now wants him to explain his three days trip to Kwale last week without the company of any government official.
Governor Nyagarama reportedly left Nyamira on Thursday last week via Kisumu before proceeding to Mombasa for unknown businesses. He was spotted in Kwale.
Mr Nicholas Kibeni, a close aide of former gubernatorial candidate Walter Nyambati questioned the trip, arguing that it was political and had something to do with impending Supreme Court petition.
"We have confirmed he was in Kwale without staff or any government official. This is quite unusual. This could have something to do with Supreme Court case," he said.
James Rogito, another critic added: "Most probably he went to compromise the judiciary. We are keenly monitoring all the events. We shall know the truth soon."
The Supreme Court has set January 30th next week as the date for delivery of judgement that had seen Nyambati push for Nyagarama's ouster in all lower courts.
But the government has denied knowledge of the trip, insisting that it's a creation of those outside government even as a driver attached to the county government admitted picking Nyagarama from Kisumu.
"It's just a creation. Mzee has been around. I am just learning from social media propaganda that he had been at Kwale," said Kefa Mocheche, Deputy Chief of Staff.
