Members of the Repentance and Holiness Ministry have sued two residents of Kibera over posting of 'defamatory' videos against the preacher.
Kevin Kiriga and Paul Akhonya are said to have made a series of videos questioning the miracles allegedly performed by the man of cloth.
The 10-member team says they want the court to give orders barring the distribution, copying, editing and disseminating any of their videos on their platforms.
They also want the court to grant them authority to storm homes that unlawfully have media recordings of Owuor which they say is bound to be used wrongly by those possessing them.
They claimed such reports from non-church members have made it difficult for the church to carry out its activities in the public.
“This has impeded our ability to reach the masses with the Gospel of Kingdom of God which is our sole mandate under the documents of incorporation” the court papers read.
Owuor was recently in the headlines after a crusade organised in Kibera went to the media with the wrong headlines.
This was after uniformed traffic police officers went to the streets of Nairobi proclaiming the arrival of Owuor, something that led to criticism from the public.
