Living a happy life has always been a headache for most Kenyans especially those who find 'living the Kenyan way' hard.

Is there a story unfolding in your community? Let Hivisasa know

While we believe that the basis of a happy life is money, we are wrong.

So how can one live a happy life in Kenya? Here are few tips:

1. Change your mentality. It misleads you

This should be the very first step to live a happy, peaceful in Kenya; change the mentality that life is hard. Yes, it might be difficult and nearly impossible but we just have to live it.

Life is what you make it; what you take it to be.

Life in Kenya is hard especially when you lack a job.

Having a positive mentality that it will be easy is all you need.

Feed your mind with positivity and sure enough, things will work out eventually.

2. Engage in Saccos

Saccos are essential avenues to wealth and a happy life.

They function to benefit every contributor.

If you are in a position of joining one then do so as soon as you can.

Financial stress is a major cause of 'hard life' but Saccos can make life easier in cases of emergency.

Many Kenyans who complain of financial stress haven't invested in Saccos and 'chamas' to help reduce financial stress.

3. Start a business

Business is way much better than a job depending on how much income it pumps into your wallet.

There are many businesses one can run in Kenya ranging from small to big, online to offline depending on your interest.

All it takes is your courage and hard work.

Due to lack of jobs by many Kenyans, business is the only option one can depend on as a source of livelihood.

4. Focus on your family

Your family is the number one responsibility you have as a man or a woman.

Put your family first then let every other thing follow because the happiness that they give you is enough to take you an extra mile.

Putting your family ahead of everything shows how much you value them.

Make them your source of happiness.
