A section of bodaboda riders in Kisii county has been accused of being unfaithful in marriages.
Kisii County Assistant Police Commander Caleb Matoke said some of the married riders operating in Kisii town at night have turned themselves to be 'sponsors'.
"Some riders have opted to be sponsors to college ladies in town. Riders operating at night abandon their wives at home to hire college ladies and prostitutes for sex," he said.
Matoke noted that cases of sexually transmitted infections (STI) may be on the rise in the region because of the increased number of men (riders) who are not faithful in their marriages.
He wondered why bodaboda riders spend most of the money they make on women instead of providing for their kids and wives at homes.
"Riders need to change their habit of becoming sponsors to college students who only love because of money failure to which more marriages are likely to break as well more transmission of sexual diseases will be on the rise," he added.
This comes after a man caught his wife with another man, a bodaboda rider on Tuesday morning near Masaba Hardware in Kisii town.
