A family in Kanyamkago, Kisumu is mourning the death of their three children.

The three were killed Saturday night after an inferno in their house. 

Area chief  John Ojwang said the three were aged 7, 5 and 2.

The chief said the children's father left them in the house at night. 

“Kevin, the father,  left to see a friend, locking the children in the house. But when he returned, he found the house on fire," the chief said. 

The man said he had left a candle on the table which might have caused the fire.
