Speaking on Radio Jambo on Wednesday evening, Muchomba noted that the region indeed owes Ruto for his support of President Uhuru Kenyatta in his two previous elections.

She denied any plans to turn back on the promise to support Ruto in exchange, faulting recent claims by a section of Ruto's allies that plans are on course within Uhuru's quarters to break the vow.

"Wakati wa campaigns za 2013 na 2017 tuliahidi tutamuunga Ruto, hiyo ni deni na hatutamgeuka (we promised to support Ruto during our 2013 and 2017 campaigns, the promise remains intact and we will keep it)," she said.

Muchomba, however, acknowledged challenges in line with the same, noting that there exists interruptions from some sources, which she said are keen on disrupting the 20-year Jubilee plan.

She claimed that the forces have since abducted the party and are working from within to ensure that Ruto doesn't get the promised support in 2022, but noted that the attempt is inconsequential.

"Hata hivyo, kuna watu wameingilia katikati na wanajaribu kuharibu mpangilio huo ndio isemekane tumemgeuka Ruto (some people have made their way into the party to disrupt the plan and make it look like a betrayal)," she added.
