The CS expressed sharply clashed in view with the County Police Commander Joseph Ole Tito after he found out that under Ole Tito's watch police officers had abandoned official procedure of operation and record keeping at the stations.

All this began on December 25 after the CS visited Kayole Police Station to spend time with officers and demanded to sign the visitors' book.

He was left shocked after the officers presented to him a book that was last signed about two years ago.

The fact that senior officers including Ole Tito had visited the station recently without signing the book further edged the CS.

"It is shocking that no senior police officer, government official or visitor has visited this station since February, 2017. One full year in Nairobi without a visit is not explainable. This is unacceptable. This is not how you serve the country," the angered CS said.

He pointed fingers at Ole Tito for 'sleeping on his job' as he is the one charged with overseeing operations of these stations yet he had personally never visited the station.

"Inspector General of Police has deployed you as county commander to oversee such operations. It is not a good show at all," he added.
