Kuria while speaking at Gaichanjiru High School in Kandara, Muranga County on Friday accompanied by Ruto, the MP said the chopper is co-owned by the DP and him.

He said Kenyans and some forces he termed as "enemies of the deputy president" should now tone down their criticism since they now know who the owner of the helicopter is.

There have been talks, especially on social media, questining how Ruto acquired money for buying the chopper which is said to have cost Sh1 billion.

"I have gone to the principal of this school (Gaichanjiru High School) and he told me that Ruto's chopper once landed here," Kuria said in a video posted on the Bunge La Busia County Facebook Page.

"Let's speak the truth like Christians, that chopper belongs to me."

A month ago, pictures of the said helicopter were posted on Twitter while at its hanger at Wilson Airport in Nairobi.

Opposition leaders including NASA strategist David Ndii have been at the forefront telling Ruto to explain where he got the money he used for buying the chopper.

Ndii argued that with just a minimal salary, the DP cannot afford to buy the chopper estimated to cost between Sh500,000 and Sh1 billion.
