Mulyungi  said the President should go for 'real' individuals linked to graft scandals.

He claimed that Kenyans are getting impatient in the war against corruption.

The legislator said citizens want to see corrupt state officers being arrested and arraigned in court.

"The President must act very fast and firmly on people who have been adversely mentioned in graft scandals," Mulyungi said.

He addressed the public at Kyanika market in Mwingi town, Kitui County on Monday.

The Wiper MP said sacking one Cabinet Secretary (CS) is not enough.

"The sacking of Rashid Echesa is not enough. The President needs to send more people home if he wants to leave a commendable legacy in 2022 as far as the war on graft is concerned" he added.

According to Mulyungi, corruption has risen to alarming levels in the country.

He told both the Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) not to be intimidated in their fight against graft.

Mulyungi claimed that some politicians who are defending corrupt individuals want to frustrate the war against graft.

He said Parliament is firmly behind both the DCI and DPP in the fight against graft.

Mulyungi refuted claims that the renewed war against graft is targeting particular individuals.
