President Uhuru Kenyatta has been urged to sack DP Ruto if he is serious in the war against corruption.
Kisii senator Sam Ongeri claimed that corruption may not end because leaders of high profile are engaging in the vice.
"Corruption won't end anytime soon if 'powerful' leaders in this country who being mentioned in scandals won't be sacked. Let the Head of State send home his deputy and other powerful leaders who have been widely involved in graft," he noted.
According to Ongeri, politicians allied to DP Ruto are panicking by claiming that one tribe is targeted in the graft war.
"Individuals steals on their own. Those claiming that one tribe is being targeted are lying and panicking ahead of 2022 polls," he added.
Ongeri urged Kisii leaders to distance themselves from graft.
"Leaders from Kisii should be satisfied with their monthly salaries because stealing public money will derail development," said the ageing senator.
He urged the electorates not to keep quiet when leaders divert public money meant for development into their pockets adding that EACC should be on high alert.
