Controversial gospel artist Alex Apoko has revealed what pushed him to start searching for a wife on the streets using placards.
The ‘Pamela’ hitmaker while speaking during an interview with Milele FM, stated that the cold weather is one of the reasons why he has gone into the searching spree.
“The cold season is one of the reasons, I didn’t come here to lie. It is true, the cold season is the first thing and hen also being bored (Msimu was baridi nikitu kimoja, unajua mimi sjakuja hapa kudanganya. Ni ukweli, msimu wa baridi nikiu ya kwanza alafu kuboeka),” Ringtone stated during the interview.
Ringtone, who once declared himself the richest Kenyan gospel artiste, claimed that he is extremely lonely at his 10-bedroomed mansion. He also added that he does not have a friend in his neighbourhood hence making him a loner.
“I prayed to God for a car and he gave me, I prayed for a house and he gave me. The house that he gave me is big, the car that he gave me is big- my car is a seven-seater V8; the house has 10 bedrooms and then it’s a cold season. So I really feel lonely (Niliomba mungu anipe gari akanipatia, nikaomba mungu anipe nyumba akanipa. Sasa hio nyumba mungu alinipatia ni kubwa, gari ni kubwa- gari langu lina nafasi ya watu saba, nyumba yangu iko na vyumba kumi vya kulala alafu msimu ni wa baridi. Sasa mimi naskia tu niko mpweke),” Ringtone explained.
The artist also quoted the bible (Genesis 2:18 and Ecclesiastes 2:4) in an effort to justify his search for a wife.
Ringtone has in the recent days been at the centre of attention on social media after he went on the streets to literally search for a wife.
