Siaya Senator James Orengo has hit out at his Elgeyo Marakwet counterpart Kipchumba Murkomen over his recent attacks on opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking in Narok on Thursday, the Senate Majority Leader linked Raila to the ongoing evictions in Mau Forest, courtesy of his political bromance with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
However, responding to Murkomen's claims during the funeral service of Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama's son George Ndemo in Nyamira, an event also attended by Odinga, Orengo termed the allegations as unrealistic.
The Senate Minority chief wondered why Murkomen is directing the blame to Odinga, a civilian, while his side has repeatedly bragged of being part of the government.
"If there is a man who gave birth to a fool its Murkomen's father. How can you accuse Raila of evicting your people and at the same time say that you are the government?" wondered Orengo.
His remarks were echoed by Suna East lawmaker Junet Mohammed, who bashed Murkomen for allegedly using the former Prime Minister's name for political mileage.
He termed Murkomen's claims as 'barks', cautioning him against dragging the veteran politician's name into the ongoing procedure spearheaded by Narok County Commissioner George Natembeya.
"Murkomen should stop barking and throwing everything at Raila. He must leave Raila out of the Mau issue. Kenyans are tired of such rhetoric," he added.
