Social media is one of the places that make life interesting; we meet new people and get useful information. However, there are a group of people on these platforms who have no good intentions. You should, therefore, be careful with the kind of information you let known.

Here are 5 personal details you should never share on social media;

1. Your job/place of work

Your place of work or the kind of job should be between you and the people you know. Revealing this to the public isn't advisable.

Fraudsters may find it easy to mess with your job. Sharing details of your place of work will only mess with your job's security.

2. Your birth date

Putting your right birthday information on social media isn't advisable because fraudsters might use these details plus your pictures to create parallel accounts.

They can then use these accounts to engage in cybercrime activities. Protect your birthday details for social media safety.

3. Your phone number

Your phone number should not be accessed by just everybody. Making your phone number public make work easy for stalkers and fraudsters to do their work on you.

Keep your phone number for yourself and the closest people around you.

4. The address to your residence

This does not require a deep explanation. Publicising your residential address is like directing thugs to your place to come to rob you of your belongings.

 5. Banking information

Your credit card details should be between you and your bank. Putting them on the public domain will only make your finances less secure.
