The area chief Kennedy Ndege, while speaking at the Keroka municipal township on Thursday, he said that he is going to work hard against the Boda boda riders who smoke bhang and take alcohol while riding. He warned that whoever found drunk, will have to face the law.

He also said that ignorance to road rules and regulations has led to the alarming cases of accidents, as the riders, ride the motorcycles when drunk. He, therefore, fired warning shots to any Boda boda operators who will be found drunk while doing the business.

"There are Boda boda operators smoking bhang while doing the business. Others take alcohol, which results in unnecessary accidents. If you cannot refrain from taking the drugs during working hours, stop the Boda boda business." The chief said.

This follows after many accidents have been recorded in the area, with many of them being due to drugs. They operate on roads while drunk and others become so reckless.
