With reports suggesting that the relationship between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto may not be as rosy as it was five years ago when they first came into office, the DP's right-hand man thinks otherwise.
It is widely claimed that the recent handshake between Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga has unsettled the political waters within Ruto's camp with fears that the deal is meant to scuttle the DP's presidential ambitions.
However, while denying the claims, National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale, a key Ruto ally, says that Jubilee party is intact with no simmering differences between Uhuru and the DP.
"As a key Jubilee leader, I can assure you that our house, which is headed by President Kenyatta, is intact. The President, as our leader makes decisions on behalf of us all and we abide by all decisions," the Garissa Township MP said to Daily Nation's weekly interactive segment.
The few months have seen Raila and Ruto allies trade political barbs amid claims that the former Prime Minister is keen to spoil the party for the DP in the President Kenyatta succession race.
