The ministry of education introduced changes to the form one selection process in the exercise that commenced on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018.
Education CS Amina Mohamed, when announcing the 2018 KCPE results, stated that the selection shall only be conducted once. Further to this, the ministry also introduced a system through which you can access details of the schools the candidates have been selected to join.
The form one admissions commence early in January 2019 once schools open for the first term. You can access details of the candidate's selection by simply sending a text message to 22384 at a standard charge of Ksh25 for all networks.
The message you send should take the format; LNK# IndexNumber, for example; LNK#1234567890 and from any phone, send the message to 22384.
Should you prefer using the web, the information can also be accessed through the ministry’s website, www.education.go.ke.
The website has links where you can access the system for the form one school selection for national schools, extra-county and county schools.
On this page, you will be required to select the county and sub-county where the candidate sat for their KCPE exams, enter their index number and simply submit the details.
Once you have done that, a link labelled ‘Admission letter’. Once you click on the link, you shall be prompted to print the letter containing all the admission details for the candidate.
