In 2017 elections, 70 percent of the politicians who vied on NASA affiliate party tickets clinched the seats including Kangundo MP Fabian Kyule.

The vibrant youth swept Kangundo residents off their feet during the campaigns that they couldn’t wait to go and vote for him in the August 8,  elections.

Things have, however, changed and his popularity gone down one year down the line.

A spot check conducted by this writer revealed that once celebrated, the MP has lost touch with his electorates.

Several residents claim Kyule is lately unreachable, terming him as an absentee MP.They complained that the MP hasn’t launched any tangible project in the constituency since his election as compared to other constituencies which are blossoming.On matters of education, leaders of various schools within the sub-county complained of little bursaries from the CDF despite the fact that the MP allocated Sh20 million for the course to support needy students' education.

A headteacher from one of the secondary schools disclosed that they received Sh10,000 as bursary fund for five students, each got Sh2,000.

The locals described Kyule as ‘all talk without action’ MP.

They claimed the MP promised lots of projects but has not delivered even a single one.Unless Kyule retraces his steps and starts working now, his chances of being re-elected in 2022 are growing thinner.

However, some of his supporters argue that the lawmaker is on the track and it's early to start criticizing his leadership.
