This is after one woman who worked as a bartender was found dead in her house.

The woman who was not immediately identified had gone to sleep on Sunday night after closing her business.

However, eyebrows were raised on Monday morning as she could not be seen prompting her neighbours to forcefully gain entry into her house where they found her dead.

According to area assistant chief Philip Matheka who spoke to Hivisasa on phone,  after futile attempts to knock on the door, her colleagues who had come to pick keys from her were forced to break in.

"She retired to bed after work the previous day but in the morning she didn't open her door when her colleagues came to check on her and pick the bar keys," said Matheka.

He said he was notified of the incident by a resident who asked him to call the police.

Matheka noted that the cause of the woman's death could not be established immediately since the body had no marks.

"For now we can't know what killed her because she died in her sleep unless a postmortem is conducted," he said.

Police arrived at the scene and took the body to Kangundo Level Four Hospital mortuary.
