Various leaders pointed fingers at each other accusing themselves of being involved in Kiala's daughter's disappearance.

For instance, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka accused Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua of being involved in the incident.

Kalonzo later went silent after he was asked to produce evidence linking the governor to the crime.

Governor Mutua also asked him to apologize within 72 hours or get sued.

However, that was not all, Kamba elders stepped in to help with the situation by using the most dreaded Kamba justice system (Kithitu).

Led by one Paul Musembi, the elders gave the kidnappers seven days to set the girl free or get cursed after conducting the traditional oath.

"Release the DG's daughter without any demands if you want peace. If not, we will teach you a lesson you won't forget in your lifetime," Musumbi said.

Musembi said those trying to intimidate Kiala to drop his gubernatorial bid for 2017 were doing it the wrong way.

"You can't demand one to drop his political bid by kidnapping his child, that's unacceptable," he added.

Fortunately, the girl was later found in Mwiki barely six hours after the eldres issued the threat.

However, police claimed the girl wasn't kidnapped but was in her boyfriend's house.
