Detectives in Isiolo County have arrested two young men for allegedly being in possession of fake foreign currency and gold bars.
The two suspects who are in police custody have been identified as Mr Abdi Mohamed, aged 24 and Mr Abdullah Hassan Golle, aged 23.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in a tweet said the two suspects were arrested on Sunday evening with the fake currencies and seven metal bars of gold weighing 5 kilograms.
The office of the DCI further said that the suspects will be arraigned in court to answer to various charges once the police complete their investigations.
“Mr Abdi Mohamed, aged 24 years and Mr Abdullah Hassan Golle, aged 23 years were arrested yesterday evening (Sunday) in Isiolo by detectives for being in possession of several suspected bundles of fake Euro currencies and seven metal bars of suspected Gold weighing 5 kilograms,” the DCI posted on its Twitter handle.
