The deputy president of Kenya William Ruto has moderately responded to former Jubilee Party vice-chairman David Murathe.
The DP was addressing the audience comprising of members of the press, politicians among other individuals at the famous Chatham House in London on Friday.
The DP addressed a number of development matters in the country as well as the 2022 succession politics.
When the question and answer session came, DP Ruto was requested to respond to issues raised by Mr, Murathe.
The DP could not vividly address the allegations pressed against him by Murathe, but instead said he was ready to respond to any allegations against him if Murathe will decide to prosecute the issues he has been raising.
"My good brother from Financial Times I have not responded to Murathe in Kenya and am not about to respond to him here in Europe. However, whatever things he is raising he is at liberty to prosecute those issues in the best ways he thinks. I can tell you am ready to respond to any allegation that will be made against me," said the DP Ruto.
Recently Murathe had accused the DP of rigging the Jubilee primaries so he could have his preferred candidate win and have their way.
“When we repeated the second nominations, all hell broke loose because some interested parties rigged out highly popular people, in some of our own areas in Mt Kenya and Rift Valley and planted the people they wanted,” said Murathe.
The DP Ruto went ahead to assure the audience that whoever will succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta as a Jubilee presidential candidate come 2022 is not at his hand, the party members will decide.
