Deputy President William Samoei Ruto has asked newspapers companies to remember him in dividends.
In a video shared on Facebook, Dp Ruto plainly pointed out his name must appear to sell.
According to Dp Ruto, as far as newspapers need his name on them, they should not channel propaganda but facts. This comes after months newspapers vendors complained about selling lower as DP Ruto's was missing.
"I have been told by newspapers vendors that for a gazette to sell, you must place my name on the headline. So am asking you, if you must add Ruto's name to sell, then we need to agree. It means you and I are collaborating to sell newspapers. When dividends arrive, kindly don't forget me," Dp Ruto said.
Laughing DP Ruto suggested they should share dividends as it seems they both(vendors and him) help each other to sell. DP Ruto asked them to avoid any form of fake or propagated news.
This comes as the fight against graft is taking all twist. DP Ruto and his allies are further saying the Building Bridges Initiative came to tear Jubilee apart and probably to kill his 2022 presidential bid.
As President Uhuru Kenyatta is to address the nation, many are waiting to hear about graft war progress and the March 2018 Handshake. More still, hunger, foreign debt and unemployment among youths.
