Kisii County bodaboda riders have claimed that Kisii County Woman Representative Janet Ong'era is seeking political mileage through a programme she launched for them.
The riders led by their chairman Fred Nunda protested that Ong'era was seeking political mileage with a training programme for bodaboda operators.
He claimed despite the fact that the riders attended the training, no rider among those who attended the training has been given any document showing that the training was held.
"No rider was given a driving license after the training. Our efforts as bodaboda officials to have the riders get the documents have gone in vain because the driving school involved in the training told us they were never paid as the MP promised so that they can issue the driving licenses," said Nunda.
The chairman further claimed that even rent for the halls hired for the free training of riders has not been paid until today.
"The halls where riders were being trained has been locked due to unpaid rent. This means MP Ong'era has squandered the money," he alleged.
He said the MP should come clean and explain why riders have not been issued with licences.
