For the past 10 years ago, Sombogo tea factory has been used by various leaders to woo voters, but finally, the erection of the Sombogo tea factory has been established by Kisii Governor James Ongwae, where he has promised to offer job opportunities to over 200 youths.
On his tweet on Thursday, the governor who went hunting in Israel, promised the Kisii county youths of dangling jobs that they should be ready to grab after the project is completed.
"The factory will be of value to farmers from the Northern region, and will open up the area and create employment opportunities for more than 200 youths," Ongwae said in his tweet.
He also said with the intervention of the county government, Sh 3 million has been put aside to help see off the erection of the factory that has stalled for over ten years since the area of the establishment was marked.
"My Government intervention of Kshs 30 million has seen the factory that has been stalled for over 10 years take shape. The factory will be of value to farmers of Northern region, open up the area and create employment opportunities to more than 200 youths," he added in his tweet.
Ongwae, who went for a trip to Israel five days ago, has been working hard in the recent past to offer services to the residents to leave a legacy, as it is his second and last term in office.
