Wiper party is yet to receive a resignation letter from Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana as its chairman.

Kibwana had announced that he will resign from the position citing his mistreatment by the party's top brass.

Wiper secretary-general Judith Sijeny said the party is still waiting for the county boss to send the letter indicating his resignation.

Sijeny accused Kibwana of being dishonest after he launched a scathing attack at Kalonzo, who is seeking to counter rebellion from his allies ahead of 2022 polls.

Kibwana had earlier said Kalonzo’s move to be President Uhuru Kenyatta’s errand boy was intimidating after the Kamba political kingpin said he should not be questioned over the move.

“Even when we got a chance to visit State House recently, we did not prepare adequately to engage the President in a development dialogue the way the National Super Alliance leader is doing,” Kibwana said.

Kibwana has also faulted the Wiper leader of 'killing' democracy in Wiper party.

Kibwana and his counterparts Alfred Mutua (Machakos) and Charity Ngilu (Kitui) have vowed to work together to ensure that Ukambani residents have their living standards improved by executing credible development projects.

The trio has accused Kalonzo of failing the community since he took over the leadership mantle from late Ukambani legendary Mulu Mutisya.
