One of the victims, was shot dead at around 8.00pm at Mowlem area in Kolwa central ward Kisumu East Sub-County, while the other was found murdered and dumped at Coptic area in Mamboleo Kisumu.

According to Kolwa Central Ward Representative, the incidents have been rampant lately, adding that he has already filed complaints to relevant government security agencies.

“I have raised complaints to relevant government security agencies on deteriorating security in Kolwa Central and the entire county. We have had repeated cases of mugging, burglary robberies and yesterday one of our residents was shot dead,” says hon. George Olwal.

The Ward rep revealed that he had also faced attack earlier this week, saying the gang was unable to get full access to his home.

“The night before yesterday a gang attacked my home, but I was saved by security doors, they could only access the living room,” he added.

Speaking at a local radio station early this morning, Assistant Police Inspector General Charles Owino said they are working around the clock to ensure there’s a total reform in police docket.

He revealed that he also encountered an attack in Kisumu, where a gang followed him from the bank and took away the whole amount he had withdrawn.
