Top socialite Huddah Monroe is an inspiration to many Kenyans. Even with her fame and popularity, she had managed to keep her family out of the public, and people know very little about it.
However, on Tuesday August 1, she shared a picture of her mother on her Instagram wall. The photo of the two together raised eyebrows as she looked different from her mother. She is brown while her mother is dark skinned.
Her mother is married to her stepfather. Huddah’s biological father passed away when she was still young. However, their early marriage time with him was difficult as the stepfather used to beat her mother and even kick her out to sleep in the cold.
“I don’t have sisters. I only have brothers… We were happy but my stepfather was very violent, he used to drink and beat my mother and chase out my mother who would sleep outside. Watching what my mother underwent and what my friends are going through I thought of just sticking in a relationship… Marriage is not something I’m looking up to,” she said in an exclusive interview with Millard Ayo TV.
However, Huddah didn’t reveal much about her mother and her family at large. She loves them very much and exposing them to the public will attract critics which will hurt what she loves most.
