Booking of hostels will start on December 28, 2018, up to January 6th.

According to a memo from the Accommodation director at the 31st Students Governing Council (SGC) Linnet Chebet, no group will be given priority over the other.

This is contrary to the initial booking procedures where the students had different booking timelines depending on their year of study.

Moi University has previously had problems with accommodation as the available spaces are not enough to host all the students.

This is however expected to change after the current Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Kosgey said in his speech at the cultural week that his administration is working to solve the accommodation crisis.

Currently, the outgoing third years are proceeding for attachment.

The following cohorts will be in session; first years (Y1s2/19), second years (Y2s1/18), third years (Y3s1/17) and fourth years (Y4s2).

The semester is expected to run until April 2019.

The large population at the Kesses-based institution has always been a challenge in terms of accommodation, security and resources.
