Gusii region Anglican Church bishop John Omangi has said the president and his deputy should go home at the time to give Kenyans room to elect top leaders after every 10 years.
According to Omangi if the president succeeds to be in power two terms with his deputy they should go home both of them at the same time so that Kenyans can afford new top leadership.
Addressing the press in Kisii town on Thursday, Omangi noted that the constitution should be amended through the referendum so that the president and his president go home after two terms
“Deputy President should retire like the president after two terms if succeeds to be in power in two terms,” said Omangi.
“If we want reforms in leadership the amendments should be done in our constitution to bar deputy president in vying for the presidency, “he added.
Omangi said Kenyans will continue suffering if president retires leaving his deputy in power since the two share ideas when in power and the ideas expires when the president retires.
He also proposed that deputy governors should also go home when their bosses go home if succeeds in power in two terms.
“We want the constitution to be amended if the president and governors get power in two terms they should retire at once deputies should not be given chance to vie again,” he insisted
