A top Nairobi lawyer who associates with opposition leader Raila Odinga has been admitted in hospital after developing visual problems.
Donald Kipkorir who helped piece evidence for the former prime minister when he challenged President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election during the August 2017 presidential election tweeted saying he underwent surgery on both eyes and can hardly see.
He, however, did not name the health facility he is admitted to.
"Dear Friends, Clients and Tweeps: I underwent laser surgery on both my eyes last Friday and for now, my vision is blurry. I can’t read or type till end of this week. I can’t thus respond to any message. I have typed this note with extreme difficulty. Stay well," his tweet reads.
Kipkorir is known for his online jabs against leaders who are opposed to Raila's style of politics.
He has since 2013, been at the forefront defending the former Langata MP whenever leaders, especially those from the Jubilee administration criticize Raila.
Although soft-spoken and almost always physically absent in the public, he is active on social media throwing jabs at Mt Kenya leaders particularly politicians against Raila's new-found union with Uhuru following the Match 9th handshake at the commander in chief's Harambee House office in Nairobi.
